Dave Arneson 1.10.1947 – 08.04.2009

Dave Arneson on kuollut, kuollessaan Arneson oli 61-vuotias. Arneson oli toinen alkuperäisen D&D tekijöistä (toinen oli viime vuonna kuollut Gary Gygax).

Alla Daven Arnesonin perheen virallinen tiedoitus :

Shortly after 11pm on Tuesday, April 7th, Dave Arneson passed away. He was comfortable and with family at the time and his passing was peaceful.

The Arneson family would like to thank everyone for their support over the last few days, and for the support the entire community has shown Dave over the years.

We are in the process of making final arrangements and will provide additional details as we work them out. We will continue to receive cards and letters in Dave’s honor. We are planning to hold a public visitation so that anyone wishing to say their goodbye in person has the opportunity to do so.

Gary Gygax 1938-2008

Gary Gygax on siirtynyt taivaallisten pelinjohtajien kerhoon. Herra Gygax tunnetaan parhaiten Dungeons & Dragons – roolipelin toisena tekijänä ja näin ollen myös hyvin pitkälti roolipelien isänä (Dave Arneson saa siis äidin roolin).

Gary Gygax on D&D:n isänä myös tahtomattaan (tai tahallisesti) tehnyt ansiokasta työtä ehkäisyn edistämiseksi. Pikaisen arvion mukaan GG:n työnhedelmät ovat lisänneet maailmaan jopa miljoona lisäneitsyysvuotta.

On kai sanomattakin selvää, että iskulause “Saanko kertoa sinulle D&D-Hahmostani?” kilpailee huonoudessaan positiivisen hiv-testin kanssa.

Full Frontal Nerdity

I am nerd . In last 48 hours I have played Blood Bowl , Dungeons and Dragons and Heroclix ( I won a tourney ! woot ! (nerds say woot)).
